SEHBC Hilary Term

It’s been a tricky term for rowing so far, with the return of flooding to a level not seen in 10 years resulting in two long periods of black flag! This has not dampened spirits too much, and SEHBC have been hard at work training for Torpids (hopefully!) and Summer Eights.

Quintin Head

SEHBC entered a W1 crew to Quintin head race, as our first external race of the season. Despite racing with a broken rudder the crew achieved an excellent time of 15:05 over the 4.4km course and really enjoyed the chance to race on the Tideway.

Land training

Back in Oxford, the squads have been hard at work in the tank, in the gym and on the ergs, regularly filling the boathouse with whole club UT2 sessions! The social side of the boat club has also been going strong, with the usual crew dates and pub trips supplemented this term by a trip to see The Boys in the Boat
